An exclusive is a premium shipment where only your freight is onboard in route to the destination. There is no other freight belonging to other Capital Critical Courier customers shipped along with your freight. This ensures that there are no conflicts with the transport of your freight. Capital Critical Courier is an exclusive carrier.
A concurrent shipment is two or more identical commodities transported via more than one carrier. There is no primary or secondary hierarchy between the carriers, each is to deliver as soon as possible resulting in the consignee having multiple copies.
This redundancy is done to prevent any failure in the delivery of critical time-sensitive documents. Accidents, mechanical break downs, or a lost driver could add hours to the delivery time of a shipment.
The primary carrier is one part of a specialized concurrent shipment. Both carriers are to arrive at the destination city but the primary is to deliver as soon as possible with the secondary carrier waiting as back-up.
The secondary carrier is one part of a specialized concurrent shipment that can easily be thought of as the "back-up" shipment. There may be some instances where only one copy of the proposal is to be delivered to your customer. For example, a proposal is to be delivered to the issuer of the RFP at a building at Camp Lejuene by 3pm on March 10th. Both carriers are to arrive in Jacksonville,NC on the 10th, but the primary is to deliver as soon as possible. If, at a predetermined time, say noon, the primary has not provided you the proof of delivery, then your shipping point of contact would instruct the secondary carrier to deliver the back-up shipment. If the primary does deliver by noon, then the secondary carrier returns the back-up copy to you.
A verbal P.O.D. (Proof of Delivery) will be called in as soon a the paperwork is signed. A hard-copy will be faxed and/or emailed as soon as the driver returns to the vehicle to scan the document.
Yes. We will work with customers from anywhere within the United States to coordinate local production and delivery of the proposal to or from the Washington, DC metro area. Some customers find they need additional time to complete the proposal--the advantage of using Capital Critical Courier is that we will complete the production of the proposal, perform a quality check with you, package the proposal to your specifications, and deliver to your specifications.
